Montana Dietitian Meeting - Billings 2010

The annual MDA conference was held in Billings,  June 10-11. The Montana Beef Council sponsored a keynote speaker, beef tasting,  and a healthy Beef lunch for the 80 Montana Dietitians in attendance.

Shenoa French presented on Umami and provided a blind taste test of grass-fed and convention raised beef to the RD's. Shenoa
Dale Woerner presented on Organic, Natural and Grass Fed Beef: Perception vs. Reality.  He discussed what the differences and similarites are in these types of beef and what the definition of each type is. Dale - MDA
Lisa Murray RD, Montana Beef Council, provided a MBC update during the healthy beef lunch - Mediterranean Beef Pitas - which is a checkoff recipe. Lisa- MDA
