Research by the National Center on
Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University found a
significant relationship between the frequency of family
meals and children’s grades in school. Teens eating with
their families more than five times per week were 40% more
likely to get A’s compared to teens eating with their
families 2 or less times per week. As an added benefit, kids
eating with their families at least five times per week were
the least likely to take drugs, suffer from depression, or
get into trouble. |
