 The 3rd annual Cattle Crawl held in Billings featured food, wine and fun at the Windmill, Enzos, The Rex and The Montana Rib and Chop House.
 The 2009 Boilermaker in Utica New York was July 9-13. Started with a volunteer dinner on where beef was served, a two day Health and Fitness Expo. At the expo there was a beef culinary tent with cooking demos every hour and samples of delicious beef recipes. Lots of beef materials, brochures, and nutrition info provided. And a bike challenge to see how much energy is produced after having a beef snack. Almost 12,000 participants in this years 15K race with 100 of them being part of Team ZIP to promote the active, healthy lifestyle beef helps one achive. click on photo for more

 Tom Hougen - Stockgrowers president, Steve Harmon - Montana Beef Council President, and JoAnn Harmon all helped cook flat iron steaks for the 120 Musselshell stockgrowers that attended the spring dinner and program. The program was March 19th, 2009.

The 2009 MATE show was a great success this year, we gave out over 4,000 pieces of beef materials, such as recipes, nutrition brochures, beef safety and checkoff information. The Montana Cattlewomen volunteered at the booth again this year, and on Saturday over 900 samples of a National Beef Cook-off recipes were given out. Thanks to everyone for all their help.

The 89th Annual Montana Farm Bureau Federation Convention was held in Billings, Montana November 9-12. Charlene Rich Executive Director of The Montana Beef Council and board members Jerry Jones and Larry Switzer attended.

The campaign will focus on showing the true face of Montana agriculture - the farmers and ranchers who make up our number one industry. They will use pictures of their members on billboards and roadside signs all across Montana. |
